To boost the success of early-career researchers applying to the National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Program (NSF CAREER), the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) will host an NSF CAREER Bootcamp.
NSF CAREER provides awards to early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization. Activities pursued by early-career faculty build a firm foundation for a lifetime of leadership in integrating education and research.
The bootcamp’s goal is to help eligible assistant professors plan, write, and submit a compelling and competitive application. OVPRI is now accepting applications to participate in a training cohort of eight to 12 faculty during the winter and spring terms of this academic year. All participants are expected to submit an NSF CAREER application by the deadline of July 22, 2026.
The deadline for receipt of applications to the NSF CAREER Bootcamp is December 12, 2025.
